Barefoot Love at Barefoot Resort

>> Sunday, March 1, 2009

Last week, the golf department at Condolux got to sneak away for an afternoon round at the course that was voted, "Best Golf Course in Myrtle Beach", The Davis Love Course at Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach, SC. The Love Course is a fun, interesting and challenging layout that is traditional in design.

This Myrtle Beach Golf course which measures over 7000 yards from the champion tees. The Davis Love design will make you hit every shot in your bag. The Pinehurst #2, Donald Ross themed Crown Greens is a feature that Davis Love implements along with multiple playing strategies from the tee are not what makes this Myrtle Beach Golf course famous.

It happens to be the World Famous Hole Four. The Par Four, Forth hole is famous for the Scottish themed Ruins. Measuring 294 from the Championship tees is a drivable par four and the ruins can be used to your advantage and used as a brick backboard. That is correct, you can hit your shot off the ruins, at the Barefoot Resort Golf Course, and be putting for EAGLE on the signature hole.

Do not let the easy hole fool you because after the first four, the course for some reason, gets extremely hard. The wind blows a little harder, the greens become a little more tricky and the fairway bunkers get a little bigger.

This golf course is a great choice for your Myrtle Beach golf package and has my stamp of approval. I would like to send a thank you to the staff of Barefoot Golf Resort and a thank you to Jeff Diehl and to the Superintendent of the Love Course, keep up the good work golf course is in great shape.
